Tampa Bay High School Football Combine Spotlight: Keivlan Griffith

This year marks the 10th Annual Tampa Bay High School Football Combine, presented by the Tampa Bay Sports Commission.  With so many exceptional student-athletes in attendance, we'd like to provide the opportunity to get to know the players a little before they hit the field at this year's combine.

Q: "What do you think distinguishes you from every other player in the nation?"

A: "I am a devoted player, I'm passionate about the game and committed to my team and  coaches."

Q: "What do you hope to gain out of your participation in the Tampa Bay High School Football Combine?"

A: "Better knowledge of the sport and my position.  The experience of playing with other players with similar talents."

Q: "What are your strengths?  What do you need to improve on?"

A: "My strengths are my speed and the ability to adjust to the offense.  What I would like to improve on is 'jamming' and 'breaking on the ball.'"

Q: "What extracurricular or community involvement activities do you participate in?  What are your hobbies outside of football?"

A: "Clothing donation drive for the National Cancer Society; my hobbies outside of football are basketball and art."

Q: "Which player, if any, do you model your game after or often get compared to by your teammates on the field?"

A: "Darrelle Revis"

Q: "How have you evolved over the years as a player?"

A: "My skill level and knowledge of the game has improved."

Q: "What is your proudest moment in football?"

A: "My football season in 2009, our team went undefeated and won the super bowl."

Q: "What is your proudest moment off the field?"

A: "Receiving my awards for academic excellence"

Q: "What celebrity would play you in the movie version of your life and why?"

A: "Denzel Washington, because he is loved and respected by everyone."

Q: "What TV show marathon will keep you on the couch all day?"

A: "Spongebob Squarepants"

Q: "Who/what has been the biggest influence on football in your life?  How so?"

A: "My family because they have always supported me by going to my practices and games."

Q: "What honors or awards have you received (both athletic and non-athletic)?"

A: "Super bowl trophy, super bowl runner-up trophies (two times), athlete of the year award, honor roll, perfect attendance award, citizenship award."
